At British Village Cattery, our primary goal is the preservation and genetic improvement of the British Shorthair breed. As a small, home-based cattery, our kittens are cherished members of our family and live with us in our home. From the moment they are born, we provide them with dedicated attention, care, and love, resulting in cats with sweet expressions and gentle temperaments.
When we lost our beloved Naninha, we thought we would never have another pet. The void she left in our home was immense. As we packed away her belongings and leftover food, with tears in our eyes, we were certain that she had lived a wonderful life with us.
A few days later, we decided to look for a new kitten. We knew it had to have short fur, be dark-colored, and male to ensure he would never replace or overshadow Naninha’s memory.
Our research led us to the enchanting British Shorthair breed. Soon, we found Papillon, a charming kitten from the countryside of São Paulo, who stole our hearts and introduced us to two wonderful people—Andreas and Eleandra. This friendly couple, who breed kittens with love and responsibility, has our deepest gratitude for their kindness and efforts.
While waiting for Papillon, we met many other breeders and developed a desire to breed British Shorthairs professionally. We joined the Brazilian Cat Club and Fife, committed to maintaining high standards in our breeding program.
Our breeding program is dedicated to the preservation of the British Shorthair breed and its genetic improvement. As a small cattery, our kittens live as part of our family in our home. From birth, they receive immense attention, care, and love, ensuring they grow up with sweet expressions and gentle temperaments. We carefully select cats free from genetic and viral diseases and provide regular veterinary care to guarantee their health. Discover the details of our breeding program by clicking here.
