FAQ

We have compiled the most frequently asked questions we receive daily and prepared this page to help answer them. If your question is not listed, please send us a message by clicking here.

At what age will I receive my kitten?

The kitten will be delivered to its new home at a minimum of 16 weeks old: vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered.

Will the kitten come microchipped?

Yes. Following the recommendation of the International Cat Federation, all kittens must be microchipped.

Can I choose the name on my kitten's pedigree?

In most cases, yes. However, please note that you need to request this promptly. Once registered, changes can only be made after the kitten has arrived at its new home.

How is the shipment handled?

Our cattery partners with Latam for shipments. We can send the kitten to any city served by their flight network. Shipping is charged separately and includes all transportation costs: the transport box, shipping fees, and any applicable taxes. For international shipments, please contact us for more information.

Can I receive my kitten before 16 weeks?

We do not deliver any kitten before 16 weeks of age. The kitten needs to absorb the nutrients from the mother’s milk to complement its immune system and have as much contact as possible with the mother to become a confident and loving cat.

What should I prepare before my kitten arrives?

Before your kitten arrives, make sure you have a safe, comfortable space for them with food, water, a litter box, toys, and a scratching post. Also, schedule a veterinary check-up to ensure a smooth transition.

What type of food should I feed my British Shorthair kitten?

We recommend high-quality, super-premium cat food to ensure your British Shorthair receives all the necessary nutrients for a healthy growth. Always provide fresh water.

How do I take care of my British Shorthair’s coat?

British Shorthairs require regular brushing to remove loose hair and prevent hairballs. Brushing once a week is usually sufficient to keep their coat healthy and shiny.

How do I integrate my new kitten with other pets?

Introduce your new kitten to other pets gradually. Start with short, supervised visits and allow them to get used to each other’s scent before increasing their interaction time.

Any questions beyond that?

If you have any questions about our kittens, any questions about the British Shorthair's behavior, or want to praise/criticize our cattery, write to us. We are always available to assist.
